Yudai stated: "My younger brother, Ginjiro, has been discharged from the hospital after 303 days. I took Gin to the cafe (which was opened in his honor), and there was a child there, and family there."

"I've been persevering until today, envisioning a faintly visible, happy future. We will turn all our tears into laughter. A new life truly begins from this point."

"We still need to adjust Gin's immediate environment a bit more. Dinner will likely be the biggest hurdle. He requires rice soft enough to be consumed with his gums, which presents a challenge."

Regarding Ginjiro's reaction to being home, Yudai added, "He's been complaining about needing to use the toilet all day. I'm truly facing the realities of his condition, but despite that, I'm still incredibly happy."

The Road to Recovery

This discharge marks the most significant milestone to date in Shigeoka's recovery journey, following many months of uncertainty.

Initially, doctors noted positive signs of recovery, but his hospital stay was extended to allow specialists to meticulously monitor his neurological rehabilitation.
