On Saturday, April 30th, as PSG and Arsenal competed in the Champions League final, a significant security operation was in place. A total of 22,000 police officers and gendarmes were mobilized across the nation, with 8,000 of them specifically deployed in Paris and its surrounding areas.
Prefect of Police Laurent Nuñez has reported that 416 individuals were apprehended. Additionally, seven police officers sustained injuries during the enforcement of public order. Despite these incidents, the planned celebration for the event on the Champs-de-Mars is set to proceed as scheduled.
