The Tongan player from “Krasny Yar” has convincingly won the scoring race in the latest Russian Rugby Championship, securing the top spot with a significant lead.

By the end of the concluded season, Taumalolo had amassed an impressive 180 points. The confidence placed in him by the coaching staff of “Krasny Yar” allowed him to consistently accumulate points throughout the season, with Jason successfully converting 24 penalties and 54 conversions. Securing second place was “Strela-Ak Bars” fly-half Cobus Marais, who recorded 138 points, comprising 15 penalties, 45 conversions, and one drop goal. The third position went to Eduard Fouché, who joined “Dynamo” midway through the season, contributing 115 points through one try, 37 conversions, and 12 penalties.

Interestingly, in the previous season, Taumalolo scored 185 points. However, that total only placed him third in the scoring standings, behind Earl Dauwer and Cobus Marais. This year`s performance marks a significant achievement for the “Krasny Yar” star.
