Tension is escalating between Lens and Paris Saint-Germain following PSG’s request to reschedule their Ligue 1 encounter. Originally slated for April 11th, PSG has formally asked the LFP (French Professional Football League) to postpone the match, aiming to grant the team additional preparation time for their crucial UEFA Champions League double-header against Liverpool.
However, RC Lens has strongly voiced its opposition to this request. The northern club issued a public statement on Monday evening, expressing their disapproval of the proposed postponement. In contrast, PSG maintains that allowing their club adequate rest and preparation for European fixtures ultimately serves the broader interests of French football, contributing to stronger performances on the continental stage.
