The acclaimed Welsh winger, Louis Rees-Zammit, has unequivocally stated his ambition to rejoin the Wales national rugby squad, decisively dismissing any speculation about changing his sporting nationality. During an interview on The Rugby Pod podcast, the Bristol Bears player responded to a lighthearted suggestion from former England fly-half Andy Goode, who humorously proposed he wait until he was eligible to represent the `Red Rose`.
Rees-Zammit’s reply was firm and clear: “No thanks, my mind is made up. I`m not going to do that!”
It is notable that Rees-Zammit recently spent 18 months pursuing a career in the NFL. However, his full attention has now shifted back to rugby, with a focused goal of earning a recall to the Welsh team for the upcoming autumn Test matches. These crucial fixtures will see Wales face formidable opponents including Argentina, Japan, New Zealand, and South Africa.
