England`s head coach, Steve Borthwick, has affirmed that the door remains open for the experienced fly-half, Owen Farrell, despite his omission from the squad for the upcoming autumn international tests.
Despite his recent return to the English Premiership and his past participation in a British and Irish Lions tour, Farrell was not selected for England`s autumn fixtures. The player himself has publicly stated his current priority is solely focused on his club commitments with Saracens.
However, according to reports from The Telegraph, Borthwick is prepared to consider Farrell for future international appearances. This could include selections for summer tests and potentially even a place in the squad for the 2027 Rugby World Cup.
Currently 34 years old, Owen Farrell`s most recent cap for the England national team was during the 2023 Rugby World Cup tournament held in France.
