Former world champion cyclist Rohan Dennis has admitted guilt to a reduced charge concerning the car accident that resulted in the tragic death of his wife, fellow Olympian Melissa Hoskins, outside their Adelaide home in December 2023.

Initially facing accusations of dangerous driving causing death and an aggravated charge of driving without due care, Dennis has now entered a guilty plea to one aggravated count of creating the likelihood of harm.

A sentencing date for the 34-year-old athlete has yet to be determined by the court.

The charge to which Dennis pleaded guilty carries a potential maximum penalty of seven years` imprisonment.
