Sir Chris Hoy, the decorated six-time Olympic champion, has provided a remarkably positive update on his health status.

Last year, he candidly disclosed his diagnosis of incurable Stage 4 prostate cancer, revealing a challenging prognosis of two to four years. Despite this, his treatment regimen has been highly effective, leading to a period of welcome stability in his condition.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Hoy shared his optimistic outlook: “I`ve reached a stable phase now. I feel good, I`m active, cycling, staying busy, and crucially, cancer isn`t the first or last thing on my mind each day.” He noted that while he remains on continuous medication and treatment, it doesn`t significantly disrupt his daily life. “The most important thing is that it`s working, and I`m stable. Everything`s good, so I`m making the most of every moment.”

Hoy reflected on his decision to go public with his diagnosis, admitting initial uncertainty about its potential impact on himself and his family. However, looking back over the past six months, he feels justified by the positive response, particularly hearing from individuals who underwent PSA tests because of his story.
