A profound tragedy has struck the Senegalese football club ASC Gadiaga. On Sunday, while traveling back by bus from Kaolack after competing in a National 2 play-off match, the team’s vehicle was involved in a devastating road accident near the village of Balla, located in eastern Senegal.
The incident has resulted in a heavy toll: the team’s goalkeeper has been confirmed dead, and at least 20 other individuals sustained injuries.
