The New South Wales-based franchise, the Waratahs, emerged victorious in the Grand Final, defeating the Western Force with a score of 33-26.
This historic, all-Australian version of the truncated Super Rugby tournament culminated in a triumphant win for the Waratahs. Four Australian franchises participated in the competition, with each team playing three group-stage matches. The top two clubs then progressed to the Grand Final showdown.
Despite the Western Force entering the championship decider as the table leaders, the Waratahs successfully overcame their rivals` strong resistance to claim a decisive 33-26 victory. The New South Wales side demonstrated impressive attacking prowess, scoring five tries and converting four of them, while their opponents managed four tries. Waratahs flanker Clem Halaholo was recognized for his outstanding contribution, being named the Man of the Match.
