As the Girondins de Bordeaux, currently in a sales process between owner Gérard Lopez and the Sparta Capital fund, have failed to provide the required 9 million euros to finance the upcoming season in National 2 on time, the DNCG has decided to exclude the club from all national competitions. This decision effectively means a relegation to Régional 1.
However, the club has appealed this ruling and intends to use the extended timeframe to rectify the situation and comply with the necessary requirements.
